I have graduated from Adelphi University with my BA in Graphic Design with honors in May 2023. I am an ideal candidate for this position, as I have advanced skills in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. At Adelphi, I have done Graphic Design work for the university’s Bridges to Adelphi newsletter, which included typography, layout, image editing, branding specific to the university, and custom digitally drawn imagery. I have also done an internship at the Performing Arts Center on campus, which includes making flyers for productions and promotional posts on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
Besides my work on campus, I was selected for the Jaggar Community Fellows Program, which granted me an internship at the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association. There, I created promotional flyers, designed and formatted a poetry book, and created a custom animation for their digital media. The book will be published this spring and will be available to purchase at the museum. This internship, plus my other graphic design experiences have helped me to hone my skills. I have created logos for local businesses while completing my course- work for my major. I can comfortably say I am capable of multitasking and working on multiple assignments at once.
